XD Capsule

This XD Capsule is tailor-designed for my classmate Kay, who shares my passion for local cuisine and street food. We both love visiting local tea houses (茶餐廳) like Australia Dairy Co, thus re-using their signature take-out bag is a natural choice to create a reflective design.

Four crispy white paper bags with their attractive dark blue typography are the key components of the capsule. They are casually joint by a piece of ribbon, allowing Kay to re-experience the pleasure of unwrapping a special treat every time she unties the knot. The four compartments provide a setting for Kay to keep her memorabilia, and more bags can be added as she expands her collection. The capsule can sit quite comfortably on the table and form an interesting silhouette, or be neatly folded together and put away conveniently when not in use.

Beyond its design the XD Capsule also has distinct personal touch to it. I greatly enjoyed the creative process, and take pride in the result.
